Photo booth customization should not begin with a client email and then turn into a scavenger hunt through thousands of templates. BoothCustomization and MyMirrorClub now connect that client request directly to the photo booth owner's production workflow. A client can browse your template and animation choices, request a design, add their booking reference and customization notes, and the request can appear automatically inside the MyMirrorClub Event Production Hub.

The normal request email still arrives, so the workflow photo booth owners already know is preserved. The difference is what happens next: instead of reading an email, finding the asset ID, searching the library, opening the design and then starting production, MyMirrorClub keeps the selected asset and client request together and can offer an Edit in MMC action when editable layer data is available.

What Is the BoothCustomization Photo Booth Widget?

BoothCustomization.com gives photo booth owners a client-facing customization widget built around the MyMirrorClub design library. Instead of sending clients a folder of screenshots or asking them to describe what they want, the client can browse and search from more than 8,000 photo booth templates and animations.

The client selects the design they like, enters a Booking ID or email, and adds the requested changes such as names, date, colors, wording, logo notes or other instructions. The request is then sent to the photo booth owner.

The BoothCustomization widget is free to sign up for. Photo booth owners can visit BoothCustomization.com to get started and give clients a much easier way to choose their design before the event.

IMPORTANT — Use the Same Booth Owner Email

For BoothCustomization requests to appear automatically inside your MyMirrorClub Production Hub, the email assigned to your BoothCustomization widget must match the email on the MyMirrorClub account you use to open Production Hub. If those account emails are different, the normal request email can still be delivered, but the request will not appear inside the different MyMirrorClub account.

Do not confuse this with the client's “Booking ID or Email” field. The client's Booking ID/email is used to match a request to the correct Event Project. Your booth-owner account email determines which MyMirrorClub Production Hub receives the request.

The Old Photo Booth Customization Workflow

A typical client design request often creates several small jobs for the booth owner:

  • Open the client's request email.
  • Read the selected template or animation ID.
  • Remember which library/category it came from.
  • Open MyMirrorClub and search for the asset again.
  • Confirm that the correct template or animation was found.
  • Load it into the Editor.
  • Go back to the email for the client's names, colors and requested changes.

None of those steps is individually difficult. The problem is repetition. A busy photo booth company may be preparing several weddings, birthdays, quinceañeras, corporate activations and private events at the same time. Repeating that lookup process for every requested template and animation adds unnecessary production time.

The New Workflow: Client Request to MyMirrorClub Production Hub

With the connected workflow, the client's BoothCustomization request can be captured by MyMirrorClub after the normal email is sent. The Event Production Hub can then show the selected design together with the information that matters for production:

  • Template or animation type.
  • Original MyMirrorClub asset ID.
  • Asset title and category.
  • Preview thumbnail.
  • Booking ID or client email.
  • Requested changes and notes.
  • Date the request was received.

The Production Hub now uses the client's Booking ID or email to help route incoming requests. An exact Booking ID/reference match to one active Event Project can be attached automatically. A client email that matches exactly one active Event Project can also be attached automatically. If the same email matches two or more active projects, MyMirrorClub deliberately leaves the request in Incoming BoothCustomization Requests so the booth owner can choose the correct event instead of risking a wrong automatic match.

Edit the Requested Photo Booth Template Without Hunting for It Again

This is where the workflow saves the most time. MyMirrorClub already knows the original asset ID selected by the client. The Production Hub can resolve that ID against the MyMirrorClub library and determine whether the saved design contains editable layers.

Edit Template in MMC and Edit Animation in MMC buttons in MyMirrorClub Event Production Hub
When editable layer data is available, the booth owner can open the requested template or animation directly in MyMirrorClub Editor from the production project.

For photo booth templates, that can mean the complete editable design structure: text, names, dates, graphics, photo openings, colors and other saved layers. Animations can also be editable, although many animation assets naturally contain fewer editable layers than a full template.

The Hub reports whether the asset is editable and can display the number of available layers. When it is editable, the booth owner gets a direct Edit Template in MMC or Edit Animation in MMC action.

The Original MyMirrorClub Library Asset Stays Safe

Opening a requested design for editing does not mean changing the original master asset in the MyMirrorClub library. The layered design is imported into the Editor as a working copy. The booth owner customizes that copy for the client while the original library design remains available for future jobs.

This is especially important for a large design library. A wedding template used for Paula & Mike today should still be the untouched master when another client chooses it next month.

Keep the Client, Event and Design Requests in One Production Project

The Event Production Hub is designed around the job rather than around individual files. A production project can keep the event details, client contact information, production status, BoothCustomization requests, Event Gallery and production checklist together.

That gives a booth owner a much easier answer to the question: What still needs to be done for this event?

Instead of searching through email threads, folders and browser tabs, the project can show that the client request was received, the template is ready, the animation is ready, client approval is pending, the Event Gallery/QR is ready, final files are ready, and the equipment/event preflight has been checked.

A Faster Photo Booth Workflow Example

Imagine a wedding client chooses a print template through BoothCustomization and enters:

Paula & Mike Wedding
September 10
Use the invitation colors
Change the names and date
Add our monogram

Later, the same client chooses a wedding animation and uses the same Booking ID or email.

Before the connected workflow, the booth owner receives two emails and manually looks up two assets. With the Production Hub workflow, both requests can appear together under the same event project. The owner can open the requested template directly in the MyMirrorClub Editor, make the requested changes, return to the project, and then open the animation.

That is the goal of the Hub: less searching, less copying information between systems, and more time actually preparing the event.

Why This Helps Photo Booth Owners

  • Clients choose visually: they browse real template and animation options instead of trying to explain a style through email.
  • Requests stay organized: the asset ID, preview and client notes remain attached to the production request.
  • Email still works: the normal BoothCustomization request email is preserved as a backup and notification.
  • Less library searching: editable requests can open directly into MyMirrorClub's editing workflow.
  • Multiple selections can belong to one event: template and animation requests do not have to live as separate disconnected jobs.
  • The original asset remains untouched: client customization happens on a working copy.
  • The event stays visible as a job: client details, status, checklist and Event Gallery can live together.

BoothCustomization + MyMirrorClub: From Client Selection to Production

The two systems have different jobs and that is what makes the combination useful.

BoothCustomization is the client-facing selection step. It helps your customer choose a template or animation and tell you what should be changed.

MyMirrorClub Production Hub is the booth-owner production step. It receives the request, keeps it with the event, resolves the original library design and helps the owner move the job toward an event-ready result.

The broader direction is simple: from client selection to event-ready files with fewer manual steps.

FAQ: Is the BoothCustomization widget free?

Yes. Photo booth owners can sign up at BoothCustomization.com to get the client customization widget and start giving clients a visual way to choose templates and animations.

FAQ: Why are my BoothCustomization requests not appearing in Production Hub?

First check the booth-owner account email. The email assigned to your BoothCustomization widget must be the same email address as the MyMirrorClub account you are using to open Production Hub. Requests are delivered to the Production Hub associated with that matching account email. The client's Booking ID or Email field is separate: it helps MyMirrorClub identify the correct Event Project after the request reaches your account.

FAQ: Does the client request still arrive by email?

Yes. The existing request email continues to send normally. MyMirrorClub Production Hub adds an organized production copy of the request instead of replacing the email notification.

FAQ: Can clients choose both templates and animations?

Yes. BoothCustomization supports photo booth template and animation selections. When the same booking submits more than one design request, those selections can be kept together in the production workflow.

FAQ: Can the selected template open directly in the MyMirrorClub Editor?

When the original MyMirrorClub library asset contains editable layer data, the Production Hub can offer an Edit in MMC action. The selected design is loaded as a working copy so the booth owner can customize it for the client.

FAQ: Are animations editable too?

Some animations contain editable layers and some may contain only a small number of editable elements. MyMirrorClub checks the saved library asset and only presents the direct editing action when editable layer information is available.

FAQ: Does editing a client request change the original library asset?

No. The original library master remains untouched. The requested asset is imported into the Editor as a working copy for the specific client/event.

FAQ: Why use a Production Hub if I already receive request emails?

Email is useful for notification, but it is not a production workspace. The Hub keeps the selected design, asset ID, thumbnail, client notes, event information, progress checklist and related production actions together so the booth owner spends less time searching across separate systems.
